These are two of the many pictures of flowers that I took in Glen Waverley one Spring morning. It had rained the night before, resulting in millions of droplets still clinging to the flower petals. I find it difficult to pick a favourite because every flower is beautiful in it's own right, but these two must be in the top ten...

Sights and Sounds of the Brisbane Square Market
This market is held every Wednesday, located at Brisbane Square between the library and the Treasury Casino. I took a stroll through the market today, bought the most delicious and exotic curry spices and snapped a few pictures. It's a bustling place with lots to see and more to taste, with the freshest produce and bargains around every corner.

Maroon in Bloom
This beautiful flower was snapped early one morning in Glen Waverley, Melbourne. The first is the original shot, the second a cropped version. I have no idea what flower it is, if you know, please tell me in a comment below.

The Mornington Peninsula
I would like to take the credit for these pictures but unfortunately I can't. They were taken by my daughter, Mart-Mari, whilst on a visit to the Mornington Peninsula in Victoria. As you no doubt would agree, they are pretty impressive and a good addition to this blog.

Clear Instructions...
In May 2008 my wife and I took a trip to North-East Melbourne, through Eltham and then turning East towards Kangaroo Ground. Along the way there were many "honesty" farm stalls where you could pick out what you wanted and then just leave the money in a box, something that is fairly common in Australia. This one had clear instructions, in case you missed the point...
Reaching for the Skies
This was taken during my first trip to Brisbane in April 2008. It is the Central Plaza 1 on the left and Central Plaza 2 on the right, 345 Queen Street and 66 Eagle street respectively.

Jostling for space
My wife and I went for a walk early one Spring morning in Glen Waverley, a suburb of Melbourne, Victoria. Along the way we saw countless examples of the most beautiful flowers. Together with the birds, they seemed to all announce joyously that Spring has arrived!
Staring Contest
Who will win this battle? The winner gets a prize...
Apparently she won...
I played around with the second photo and artificially added some depth of field. Not the greatest job as you can clearly see it in some places.
