Somewhere in Brisbane...
I thought this reflection was rather nice...I can't remember exactly where this was taken but it was somewhere along the Eastern edge of the Brisbane CBD.

Weird and Wonderful
I took a stroll through the City Botanic Gardens at the South Eastern end of the Brisbane CBD. This beautiful dragonfly posed briefly for me before flying off to the next lily in the pond.

Beside the railway track
These pictures were taken while on my way to the Brisbane Airport. The first two were taken from the Western end of Platform 6 at Roma Street Station. The last two were taken from the platform at the Brisbane Airport.
There's just something beautiful about snaking railway tracks gleaming in the sunlight.
Sunlight illuminates the grassy plumes along the railway tracks.
Fire in the skies at Brisbane Airport
Construction had stopped for the day and all was quiet.

Prime steak
I saw this interesting work of art somewhere between Eltham and Kangaroo Ground, North-East of Melbourne in Victoria
Nature at it's best
These are two of the many pictures of flowers that I took in Glen Waverley one Spring morning. It had rained the night before, resulting in millions of droplets still clinging to the flower petals. I find it difficult to pick a favourite because every flower is beautiful in it's own right, but these two must be in the top ten...

Sights and Sounds of the Brisbane Square Market
This market is held every Wednesday, located at Brisbane Square between the library and the Treasury Casino. I took a stroll through the market today, bought the most delicious and exotic curry spices and snapped a few pictures. It's a bustling place with lots to see and more to taste, with the freshest produce and bargains around every corner.
I think this photo speaks for itself...
The Table of Plenty
Joy personified
Two maestros to keep the busy shoppers entertained
This cute little angel was totally mesmerised by the music, distracted only briefly by my camera.

Maroon in Bloom
This beautiful flower was snapped early one morning in Glen Waverley, Melbourne. The first is the original shot, the second a cropped version. I have no idea what flower it is, if you know, please tell me in a comment below.

The Mornington Peninsula
I would like to take the credit for these pictures but unfortunately I can't. They were taken by my daughter, Mart-Mari, whilst on a visit to the Mornington Peninsula in Victoria. As you no doubt would agree, they are pretty impressive and a good addition to this blog.
