Urban Art

Graffiti - some call it vandalism, some call it art. I'm somewhere in the middle, but leaning towards the "arty" side of the argument. I don't support any graffiti any place, especially not if it defaces private property, but I do think there is a place for it. If done well (like this example below) it is certainly an art form, and if it decorates parts of our city that would otherwise be bleak and cold and grey, then why not?

During my lunch time one day last week I took a train to the somewhat dodgy Fortitude Valley north-east of the Brisbane CBD where I took this picture of graffiti art on the side of a derelict building.
